Recommendation for serpentine belt
I searched posts on the subject but all seem to be pretty old. Looking for the best belt for a 1999 c5. Thanks for any help you can give

Gatorback belts are the best. I'm sure if you searched "squeaky pulley" you'd see a bunch of threads mentioning this belt as being the best. Its what I have on mine

Your belts apparently lasted for 18 years. That's pretty good! While it's not the cheapest option, but you can't go wrong replacing your belts with OEM from your dealership.

Just bought the Continental Elite Gatorbacks for my 97 (serpentine and AC). They are the way to go. Quiet, no slipping.

I've purchased the Continental/Gatorback model belts for my C5 from both Rock Auto and Summit Racing. Both stock the C5's sizes.
Make sure you get the belts specific to the 99, there were a couple of different sizes used in the early model year C5's

Replaced one of the belts (can't recall which), with a Dayco right after buying my 04Z. Had to replace it in less than a year. Replaced both while doing it with Continental Elite, that was 3 years ago, all good.

As mentioned, the Continental belts are very good and there really isn't anything wrong with the OEM belts.
