Default Z06 vs Supra Turbo 6-speed

I'm going to choose not to embed these videos because you really need to watch them in high quality and full screen to see what is going on. This is me in my car against a friend in his '94 Supra. Mods are pretty even. I have headers, x-pipe, Halltech, making 350whp, alignment, Azenis RT-615 tires, and stock brake pads on that day. He has basic BPU, a big brake kit, and street tires as well. He's got a bit more weight but also a bit more power. Comments?

I say whichever car on the bottom, I think the supra, was taking the bumps in the course a whole lot harder then the top screen.

The Supra would lose on a road racing course.

Z06 on the bottom of the screen. Look at the rear view mirror, it has the map lights, etc; top does not...

Both have been working on the most important mod of all, the driver. Very likely MUCH better than me since I haven't had a chance to work on that mod very much...

Looks like fun

Nice vids. You definitely seem to hit the apexes a bit better than your friend.

Was that a GTI running in front of the Supra in the first vid? Seemed surprisingly able to hold the gap on straights.

Thanks. And yes, the Corvette is on the bottom. The car you see is a WRX wagon with slicks and 400+hp.

Mostly what you see is my camera was loose on the mount. It wan't at all as harsh as it looks.

Stock to stock with equal drivers. But this is a BPU Supra. Those things gain a LOT more over stock from basic power mods and changing out the wheels and tires than we do.

Yes, they do as I used to own one. Power isn't everything though. Vette has the weight and superior handling advantage.

Well exactly how do you see him equaling my lap times? These videos were made this way so that we could determine exactly that. I think I see where I hold an advantage and where he does, but I'd like to see if other people are seeing the same thing I am. In the past, I have been suprised to see how differently different people see it.

I'm only speaking car to car. The driver's are a totally different factor.

supra driver looks smoother then the z06. smooth = fast
IMO, its more difficult to drive a supra smooth then a z06.

switch cars and see who's faster then... and by how much

So you think he's a better driver than me? Okay, if that's what you think, you can come out and say it. I'm not going to get offended.

Interesting. Maybe I should make another video without cropping out and blocking the steering wheels soo much. If anything, I see more correction in the steering of the Supra on the first video, not much difference in the second. But this is why I like to do this. I like to hear the different perspectives of people who see things I don't.

Not at all. I didn't examine the vids closely, but just based on your description of the cars involved, the Vette should win.
