Default The Thrill Of A Non-DD

I know you guys that DD your Vettes get to enjoy them every day. I have a company car so I only drive my Vette occasionally. I've been very busy lately so I haven't driven the car in a few months. I took it out today for a little spin and every time I do I am amazed by this thing. I forget how nice it is, how well it performs and how smooth and comfortable it is. If I drove it everyday I might start taking it for granted.

I also cruised over to a performance shop here in town and priced out long tubes, FAST intake, 90MM TB and a tune. Will probably get that done within a month or so.

I'm going on a run to San Diego tomorrow and can't wait. I feel like I did when I first bought the car!

I know how you feel my DD is a company car (van) my wife says on the weekend I will try and find any excuse to get out and drive my car and she is right.

And the grins just keep on coming!!!While mine is not an official DD (I'm officially retired/sort of self employed) I do drive it a LOT,,almost every day! Familiarity does NOT breed contempt,, I grin every time I turn the key ,,or just see it in the driveway or garage!! Just a little jealous of your plans though!! If you follow through with them, you just HAVE to drive it more than you have been!!It's one of those UNWRITTEN LAWS!!!

I get that same feeling after I get back from a deployment or overseas tour. I fall in love with the car all over again.

Mine aren't DD's either, and this time of year don't get driven much at all, but it is like talking to an old friend when I get one out of the garage. Just a good feeling!

Not really. It actually makes the withdrawls worse! Just a couple of days without driving it makes me cranky.

96 CE C4 convertible and 02 C5 coupe.........Weekend drivers since new. Truly decompresses one after a tough wek. Taking the 02 to Chargers - Colts Game this afternoon. Win or lose, still a good ride each way.

I can relate. We finally had a break in our terrible weather today, and I took the Vette out for a run and to top off the tank. Haven't driven it since Thanksgiving weekend, and all I can say is "Wow!"

I'm in a similar situation in that I used to drive mine everyday to work. A new work assignment though has me only driving mine on the weekends if that. I can relate!
