You have to shim the bolts with washers where the headlight motor mounts.

The head light control module is bad. I had the same problem earlier this year and it burned up my head light motor. Thank GOD for my warranty.

The most likely problem is the headlight lifting arm is sliding off the bolt where it's not hitting the limiter. There's a 10mm bolt that usually holds the arm tight on the bolt. (see picture) This bolt is either loose or has fallen off. When you put it back on, I'd suggest throwing on a lock washer as well.

Here's how to get to it:

1) first pop the hood and manually raise the headlight by twisting the cap on the motor until it's completely up. Then lower the hood and remove the 3 phillips screws on the bucket trim:

2) Next remove the 4 torx-15 screws the hold the cover on:

3) next remove the 8mm bolt and torx 20 screws that are the hinge of the headlight frame: you'll need an open end 8mm wrench (adjustables, box-ends and pliers won't fit) Once these are out, gently lower the frame and reflector into the headlight cavity to access the problem area

4) and here's the problem spot: This is a 10mm bolt (if it's still there)

Quick fix shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

Larry,
Thanks for posting this dude!! Looks like some good advice given on the fix.

Thanks "TheRadioFlyer", especially for the detail and pics. Greatly appreciated.

Funny thing is, if this light actually closed after the "winking" session, I would probably let it go, as it always made me laugh flopping up and down like that.

Thanks to all......(did the Canadians really invent this?)

Been there and have done this fix. All it takes are 3 washers as stated above and place these between the motor and where it mounts to the bracket. Mine is all done winking, EH.
