got my car back from the dealsership and now when i come to a complete stop there is a cluck or loud knock in the rear sounds like its in the trunk. Only when i come to a complete stop.. Any ideas

replaced rear transmission housing because of porous materials

Don't even screw with it; take it back to the stealership and DEMAND they fix it immediately.

They charge you out the @$$ and want to give you subpar work.

Wow.. That was an old post, when I had my 99 C5 (auto trans).. I now have a 2002 Z06.. Anyhow,, The auto trans leaked fluid, due to a porous housing(manufacturing defect) and the clunking was the torque tube bushings.. Everything was covered under an extended warranty and replaced. 3rd gear clutch pak also went out at 38k miles.. The porous housing really concerned me. I actually examined it myself and the Extended warranty adjuster as well, looking for a hair line crack or seal issue.. The work was done at Huffines Chevrolet in Plano Tx.. I've never heard of a porous tranny case, in all my life..
