My suggestion is to go to a shop that sells C5 accessories or to a place where Corvettes gather, and listen to them yourself. The sound it makes outside the car, when the owner throws a couple of revs is totally meaningless. What you want to know is how it sounds running up through the gears, and what it sounds like cruising at highway speeds in top gear.

The system that sounds like a '60s muscle car at idle or revved might very well drone to the point that you will want to kill yourself or whomever sold the system.

Personally - I have Corsa Pace Car with long tube headers - they really bark at WOT, and can be pretty loud running through the gears, but at highway speeds in top gear - they are virtually silent and Corsa is famous for their no-drone technology.

Bottom line - make your own decision with what you like. Don't take someone else's word for it.

I went with the Magnaflow system pn 15713. They produce a nice deep sound without the drone or resonance and without being too loud. Plus I liked the large round 4" polished tips and the way the system easily aligns. Infact the entire system is polished to a chrome like finish and the quality is superior.

From outside I like the sound of: all Magnaflow systems, Borla Stingers & XR1, Bassani, SLP Power-Flo, B&B Bullets and GHL Bullets because of their deeper sound. I chose based on interior drone and resonance. If the interior noise doesn't bother you and you don't mind attracting a lot of attention at WOT and like loud then go listen to and drive a C5 with B&B Bullets or SLP Power-flo for the ultimate all out sound.

GHL bullets sound nice w/o the horrible in cabin noise the Borlas had after going w/ heads and cam.

Borlas are nice for catback only, but heads/cam, headers maybe a little loud for some.

I have always wanted to hear SLP Powerflo's but haven't happened into anyone that has them. I really am happy with my PRT's but I have to admit I spend a lot of time with the DHM's wide open

Haven't sold my Ti's yet as I keep thinking I should see what the bypass mod would sound like

Here's another vote for GHL bullets. I have them on my car and I love the sound. Mild when you're cruzing and absolute music when you send that LS1 to 6000 rpm.

Corsa Touring and I love it...try to get someone with a vette and the system you are thinking of buying first so you can hear it in person.
