thanks for replies, and stop complainging about my yard!! I don't want to fix the thing, it makes property taxes go up. Don't fix it tell you sell it, stupid yard is huge anyway. Also, I am not trying to decide which to keep or anything, they are both staying. C5 is DD, C3 is for fun/show as it is a complete custom. Actually, I am building thme both a new house together in the next couple of months, but that is another story. Mostyly, just trying to solve an argument with the wife. She won't get in the C3 now that the C5 is here, because it is not as "comfortable"

I've got a 68 427/390 coupe and love it. I also love my 02 mag red coupe. I am not a big fan of the C3's between 73 and 82.
Straight line the big block and the C5 are very close. No comparison as far as ride, comfort, handling and fuel efficiency. The older car just gets all the attention. Long trips it's the C5. Short trips and cruise nights it's the old cars for sure.

I like the C5 better, but not by a whole lot. That is a sweet C3 you have.

I am also not a big block, but straightline my C3 will eat my C5. With the old 3.08 it was hitting a 13 flat on a g-tech with 95 degree day and a passenger. With the 3.55, don't know yet. It also as some serious traction problems that some street slicks would help solve. With some street slicks I would fully expect it to be mid 12's on a decent day.

I owned a red '72 coupe that was a very nice, original, numbers matching car... I now own a lemans blue '04 coupe, and would never go back... Unless I had room for two!
