Default ARE + Pro Charger + Z06

Well I finally made the commitment..The kit is ordered, and Nick will do the work..He will be doing the programming and going with custom injectors...He thinks he may be able to go with an 8 lb pulley, but we will see...Hoping for close to 500 RWHP, it should be fun

you going to install different pistons? what about an intercooler?
I would think it wouldn't be worth going forced induction (vs N/A build up) unless you were planning on more than 500 rwhp. whats the ball park price range for this project?

thanks
David

your sig puts me in nostalga mode:

65 Cuda Formula S
70 Charger R/T

isn't it humorous how those muscle cars of late 60s/early 70's were considered "fast" :)

I believe this kit comes with twin intercoolers...ARE will monitor the air fuel ratios and other things while installing to maximise the kit for maximum boost..Hoping to get 8lbs of boost, and we will see on the HP..The kit is being sold for around 6000 plus install...Close to 500 RWHP would be awesome for me, also want the car to be trouble free...And yes, at the time those old muscle cars where great, its the best we had at the time...But, did they ever have lousey brakes, and going around corners hard, a joke

sounds like a niiiiiiice set up, Prochargers can run crazy boost. Just keep up on the oiling of the supercharger itself every 2000 miles or so. A guy I know had a procharger on his mustang and only oiled it once and after about 6000 miles he was getting a new engine.

Like the man said... about $6000 plus install.

One advantage of a blower vs N/A build up is that its theoretically possible to remove the system for resale and return to stock. If boost is kept to a reasonable level, driveability is kept the same, too. Still, I'd be worried about running much boost with stock compression.

Z06 VERT I have some of the same concerns..Nick will be monitoring it very carefully..The air/fuel ratios are the key thing from what i understand..This will be his first install on a stock Z06.. He is currently putting a blower on a 427 Z!!! I think they are looking for 650RWHP   Cant even imagine that..I am hoping for 500 RWHP..Main concern is having a trouble free car..I had a pro/charger on a 95 Firehawk...IT MADE POWER..never had it dynoed but ran 115-s in the quarter, which i thought was amazing...And did that blower whine...
