As much as I love mine.... I think that they are just overdone nowadays kinda like the chrome lip thing on them. About 20% of the cars here in Tampa have them I think I may be trying to go with the gunmetal look soon.

I'm a polished wheel fan BUT.............
Last weekend I saw a black C6 Z with black rims.
It looked fantastic.
A mean/sinister look.

Depends on the style of wheel and color of the car they are on, but in general, I like them.

Love them. I like wheels that look mean, purposeful and aren't going to to draw owners' tears when they get a little brake dust on them. I'll leave the chrome bling to the boulevarder crowd, I want to see a Vette out on the track scaring Porsches and Ferraris.

Black wheels have to go with the theme of the car.
I like them because I think they give a car a "darker" look and I like that. They provide more of a race feel/look. I also hate polishing wheels and I'm not a big fan of bling. The least amount of chrome/polishing the better.

They HAVE to have a polished lip; otherwise, they make the wheels look dirty, IMO. "Royal" Black, (black with polished lip) as they are sometimes referred to, are very popular among the younger (<30) crowd here in San Diego. Gloss black has become the new chrome.
Personally, I like them (with polished lip) because there are far too many chrome wheels out there. The change is refreshing.

Love 'em. Has to be a theme though. i may be a bit partial. I have a 2000 TR FRC, with Black C5 Z06 rims, dark tint, tail lights, reverse lights, and marker lights blacked out, and all black in the interior. Still have to do red powdercoating on the caliper and brackets with black letters on the front ones, plus black hats on the new rotors, and new seat covers. Then my theme will be complete.
