I picked my wife up for our first date 20 years ago in my red '76 Stingray. She later told me when I arrived at the door she looked past me at the car. I guess it worked..

When I met my wife I drove a lifted 4X4 F350 and a Mercedes sedan. Our weekend fun car was a 65' Mustang. Always had several motorcycles in the garage.

Just a couple of months after we met I bought my Vert as a birthday gift to myself. Julie was going to school at OSU at the time and I gave her a call that I bought the Pewter Vert we looked at last weekend. She could not believe it, until I picked her up the following weekend. Its hard to believe that was eight years ago! We have been married now for 5 years and welcomed our daughter Izzy this past June.

As the name implies, purchased a '75 Vert in 8/76, met my wife in 4/78, and sold the Vette in 8/79. As aside bar, I made make $3K on the deal. Purchased some land and built a new house. 28 years later, purchased a 02 Coupe in May 07. Yes, I am still married to the same fine Lady for over 28 years and have two great sons!

My wife had a '76 when I first met her, with a '78 on order. The '78 fell through when Chevy did the Indy pace cars on short notice, and bumped her car's order w-a-a-ay out to the end of the model year. So, she got a '79 instead.
We broke up a few months later, didn't see each other for 10 years. Fate crossed our paths again, and we wound up dating again, and later got married. She encouraged me to get my C-5 in '01.

We've been married for 31 years, so the Vette came afterwards. I didn't tell her I was buying it and she didn't seem to care when I drove it home one evening. She knows I've always been a gearhead (I've known her for over 40 years) and she's never said anything about me spending money on mods. She also has several hobbies, which helps to balance things out.

the wife first, and the verte second in fact the wife donated 10.000 to the verte fund, she knew how much i wanted one, and been working a lot of hours OT to purchase one, and then in fact she found it for me,

I was with my girlfriend before I got the vette, but she had to put up with constant corvette talk ever since we started dating. It's good though I have her trained to pick out a corvette on the street almost faster than me.

I have wanted a Vette since I was a kid. I have been with my wife for almost 4 years and we got married about 3 months ago. I first picked her up in a 01 Z28 (rear end total). After the Z, I had a 00 TA WS-6 then a 04 GTO. After years of hearing about it, we bought a 02 EB ZO6 about a month ago. You can say I got lucky meeting a woman who can handle a car psycho.
