Nice car, love the color. 322 hp with no mods seems way high though

Welcome to the FRC CLUB, it's the only roof line to have. Nobody takes their targa tops off anyway. Yours is a beauty.

Welcome to the FRC club. All FRC came in black interior and a six speed. That is why we are so special.

Welcome to the real FRC bunch,,,And you don't have to worry about joining the OTHER FRC bunch LOL!! 322 is dead on,,Mine was in the valvoline dyno display an the Mid West Nationals last May (at St. Louis) Mine is stock except for a Blackwing and Corsa Touring. They did 13 pulls,,and #1 pulled HP/TQ 323.51/324.76. The interesting thing is the stock (untuned) ECM kept adjusting to running WOT and kept adjusting the WOT air/fuel and the peak 3s kept going up. #13 3s were338.92/345.91 !! 2 days later( my first time at the track with her)it ended the night with a 13.08/110.23 on run flats!!

Congrats on your puchase and welcome to the forum. The mod bug bites pretty hard no matter which body style you start with. Hope you enjoy the Vette!

Default advice please

again thanks for the warm welcome! looking for some advice.

she will be a daily driver for a bit. the drive is about 3 miles each way running 35-45 mph.

as i see it:

the good- very few miles a year.

the bad- endless. short starts/trips are hell on exhaust systems and the oil/engine exchange. as we all know, before the engine gets warmed up it is shut down. not good.

any advice on keeping the damage of short trips to a minimum?

(yes, not commuting daily with the vette is in the works. )

i am new in these parts, being humble and looking for advice.

1999 - no mods - mobil 1 - 53k

Shouldn't be an issue. When mine was a daily driver, my commute was 4 miles each way. Nary a problem...140k miles.
