Default C6 Z06 brake conversion w/ Goodridge SS lines <<PICS>>

Well, it's been 2 weeks since I got my C6 Z06 brake set up and finally I had some time today to do the swap (wife helped bleeding them! ). Now the brake calipers fill the wheels quite nicely!!!!

Some shots of the brake calipers and the pads.

My C6 Z51 set up.

The calipers just bolt right up to the spindle.

Comparison between C6 Z06 and C6 Z51 rotors.

I had to modify the fitting (cut the fitting on a 45* angle) so the line wouldn't be right next to the lower caliper bolt.

Caliper mounted and bled!

Fronts are done!

Rear calipers and pads

C6 Z51 set up.

Remove the calipers and brackets.

This is the stock fitting for the C5 rear caliper and Goodridge lines.

Picture of a stock C6 Z06 caliper and the stock brake hose fitting.

C5 parking brake shoes are the same so no need to do anything other than adjust them while you have the rotors off.

The calipers mount to the spindle just like the front.

The C5 mounting bolts bolt to the threaded calipers on the C6 Z06 calipers.

Comparison shot of the rear rotors. The Z06 rotors are slightly larger in diameter but the swept area is much larger.

Mounting the lines like this will interfere with the lower mounting bolt.

I modified the end to fit perpendicular to the caliper

Mounted the caliper and ready to bleed it.

My dual bleeding apparatus.

LOL. I thought they were about the same size too but seeing them side by side, you can tell the Z06 rotors are slightly bigger. But the added benefit would be the Z06 rotors are much thicker and beefier, especially the rear rotors!!!

Looking good Rick!!!!!! I want to do them on my car, especially after driving John Bourg's car and feeling first hand how much of an improvement they are over the stock setup!!!!!!

Very nice, well done! I wish I had done the C6 Z06 instead of the C5 Z06 earlier this year. Oh well... another cool mod to do in the future.

Those look great, very nice. Thanks for the pics and the write-up. Those are my next mod for sure. Have any pulled back pics of your car with the new brakes?

Where did you get the kit from? And if you could PM the price that would be awesome as well. Thanks!
