Meanwhile, I would need to see a rear shot of the Nomad conversion to get a real sense of the car.

Can't say I really like the back end of the car.

The original 54 show car looks like a complete car where the C5, although a lot of work went into it, looks like different pieces glued onto a C5 and not a ground up build, like the 54. The overall lines of the car do not flow well, the proportions are off, and it could use a few more revisions to look like an actual well designed car. IMHO.

Keep one thing in mind. If I recall correctly, the original Nomand was based on a full sized, new for '55, Chevy chassis, with a 'Vette nose and tail lights grafted on to it. Therefore, the proportions are a lot different.
As one poster said, somebody created a car that THEY liked, so be it.

As for the Nomad, the same company makes a 54 style roadster as well. Much better than the Nomad, but still a lot of money for a kit car.

Back in the 70's Greenwood did a similar car from a C-3, not a C-1 look alike, but a wagon Vette.

If I remember correctly, wasn't it called the Kammback?? Pontiac's styling department also did the same "wagon" roof addition to a late 70s ('78, maybe) Trans Am, as a "styling exercise". Kinda cool, actually...

The front fender doesn't flow well into the bottom line behind the front tire.
The stock roof should be modified to match the truck canopy that was used.
It looks like a work in progress, the lines just don't flow. If you're going to spend the time to convert your car into something else, at least make it look complete. I'd think every panel would need some restyling in order to make it look like a single form. Right now your eye gets stuck where the diferent styles cross.
