How many quarts does the transmission hold?

I takes 4.1 qts. of DEXRON®-III transmission fluid dry but you'll add less during a fluid change.

Just changed mine yesterday with mobil 1 synthetic ATF and it took
3 1/4 quarts.

Yep 4 quarts will do ya!! Try Royal Purple Syncro Max You'll love the results!! While you're at it Take a basting syringe and suck out the clutch master cylinder and refill with Dot 3 or 4 brake fluid!!

Took about 3.5 quarts when I changed mine... just depends on how much you can get out. The puddle on the garage floor and/or transmission fluid dripping down your arm will make it pretty obvious that it's had enough

Same here, 3.25 qt.

So after 1 flush - 20.7% of fluid in trans is original, after 2nd flush 4.3%, after 3rd flush 1%.

Changed mine over the fourth and took 3.25 quarts of RP Synchromax...if ur changing tranny fluid you might as well change the rear diff. fluid too
