275.2 kph sounds better.

We are sure on what Chevrolet released as the top track speed for a STOCK ZO6, of course yours may be different .

You do know there is a Z06 Forum here. You might get some confirmation of what you've seen here. Some of those Z06 guys are real fanatics.

Are you one of those guys who installs the 300 km/h speedo so the car will look faster?

You guys are breaking my heart. I have both the 2.73 gears and the 300 kph cluster (bought more for the ease of installing the HUD than anything else). Obviously I suck. At least it is a coupe.

Actually, the top speed of 171 mph for the ZO6 and 175 mph for the coupe are simply based on what speed each car is travelling while redlining in 5th gear (6th gear being too tall to reach top speed). While the Coupe is slightly more aerodynamic (.29 cd versus .31 for the ZO6) it has no bearing on top speed in this case.

Not really true it is due to the areodynamic of the coupe, less drag
Plus my car has the 300 mph speedo

If that were true the Z06's higher rev limiter would make up for the slightly shorter 5th gear. With stock rear tires for both (275 40 R18):

Coupe - 5th gear @ .74 - 6200 rpm rev limiter = 191.25 mph
Z06 - 5th gear @ .84 - 6600 rpm rev limiter= 182.29 mph

EDIT: tried this at a couple calculator sites, they were within 1-3mph for some reason, still the point is the same.

Obviously both these speeds are without wind resistance and beyond both model's advertised top speed. So they are not redlining in 5th gear. A .02 cd improvement at 170+mph will certainly have a bearing on top speed.
