Borla Stingers 140017, $650 good price?
Long story short, now that Ive decided on what type of exhaust I want for my Vette, I am trying to find the best price. The cheapest i could find around is a little over $650 plus an additional $20 for shipping and handling. Is this a good price for this item? or is there a cheaper place to buy them?
Also, I am planning on putting these on my 99, MN6 coupe. from what I read, these should bolt on no problem. Does anyone know anything different?
Thanks for your help.

Get the nxt system offthe auction site.
In fact e-mail them and ask them for their best price shipped to your zipcode.
I got mine for $525.00 out the door last week.
They are just like stingers but no drone.
Bolt right on,I did not even have to remove the sway bar.

good luck and let us know what way you decide to go

Fireman,
Looks like a nice system, anywhere to find video on how they sound? also, do the tips bolt on, or do they have to be welded? its hard to see from your photos if you had to weld the peices together, thanks

Here is a how to install video and a sound clip video.
The tips are welded on at the factory but bolt on as a one piece unit that contains both tips (y-pipe).
Search the forum and you will find lots of info on both systems.
Have a good one

Personally, no matter how good the NXT system may or may not be, it's a Borla/GHL knock off from China. I don't buy Chinese knock off's of American parts. I know plenty of things are made in China, I have no problem with that. But I do have a problem when China blatently copies American IP (intellectual property) and undercuts prices.
They can do that because:
They don't have to pay for R&D since they just copy and existing design.
They don't have to have expensive factories. Most are just shacks with dirt floors (and yes, I've been to china).
They don't have to pay thier workers jack.
An AK-47 in the employees back reduces complaints and ensures unpaid overtime.
OHSA? Hazardous Waste? Restricted Materials? What's that?
Any wonder manufacturing in this country is a joke?
Not trying to start a debate here, but if you want Borla's, get Borlas. If you want close to Borla sound with no drone, get GHL's.
I couldn't be happier with my Borla Stingers. I paid $799 for quad round-tip and they were installed by Borla technicians at Carlisle for free.

where do you find nxt exhaust?
thanks for all of the opinions and thoughts. I am trying to weigh both opinions before making a decision. One problem though, When I type NXT exhaust into a yahoo search or try to look for them on ebay. I get no results on exhaust. Where do I find them besides this site, or to actually buy them?
Also, I notice the NXT pictures shown are dual tip exhaust. Borla part # 140017 are single tips, does NXT make a single tip version?

Just go on the auction site and look up seller: nxtstepperformance
Or do a search for "corvette stainless performance exhaust "
Contact the seller and ask him for his best price shipped to your zipcode.
You will do alot better than the price listed.
As far as borla goes: if you like drone and a huge corvette tax go borla.
Keep in mind both systems are just stainless steel and not gold.
Borla, corsa and just about every other name brand company has been making a killing on corvette owners for years. price their other car brand exhausts and see.
I am sick and tired of this corvette tax bullsh*t. Anything over $600.00 for a mass produced pipe made of stainless steel is a joke in my opinion.
Have a good one and keep us posted

Thanks for all the info
Hey guys, checking up on this thread and would like to say thanks for all the info. after doing some research, I am shying away from the ebay setup and leaning towards the borla's for a few reasons. The main reasons being that NXT does not offer the single tip setup that I kind of like, and that it looks like you can only buy them through ebay which I am not a member of.
I have been checking out the parts forum as well for a used set, but I am very hesitant to do a long distance deal for a set of used parts. I have seen alot of nightmare stories pop up of people getting bad deals or parts not showing up on these private deals. If anyone knows of a local used set for sale, please let me know

Though the seller for the NXT system sells them on Ebay I bought them directly from him via paypal. It saved him ebay fees and I got them out the door from CA to MI for $525.00
If you are interested contact him and he can send you a paypal invoice that allows you to pay in a secured and insured method.
His E-mail address is:
accounts@autoprousa.net
His address is:
Bajraj Brar
20906 S. Brant Avenue
Carson, CA 90810
United States
I bought them on a Friday and they were on my porch the following Wednesday.
Have a good one
