***NEWS*** EnglandGreen & Gulf Coast Performance Merge !!!
We are proud to announce that EnglandGreen, Inc. and Gulf Coast Performance, Inc. merged together and formed a single entity named EnglandGreen Corp.!!!!
We will officially be underway on July 1, 2008. We are taking a bold step in combining our business' into a 50/50 partnership with EnglandGreen Corp.
Houston, Texas will be our home base due to the vast amount of Vettes and an easy access travel port. Both of our respective business’ have had cars shipped in, or driven in from out of state and out of country, so to retain the former Gulf Coast Performance location centrally located on Interstate 45 just South of downtown Houston, made the most logistical sense.

This location will better serve our clients as it is close to the airport and allows for convenient departure or arrival. Both shops specialize in building high performance late model Corvettes which sets us apart from every one else! We ONLY work on 97+ Corvettes and because of this, we can offer a highly specialized service.
Our goals are the same, particularly with regards to growing this business and making it better for our clients. Stay tuned as we will be having a grand opening party along with spectacular specials to celebrate our new endeavor! Look for HUGE things to come from EnglandGreen Corp. The next expansion will be the facility itself, and that won’t be too long in the future!
This is Stephen Rawlins, (EG@EnglandGreen now). This merger is much more than just the joining of two Tuner houses; it's about a meeting of like minded friends that take excellence, customer service and a pursuit of perfection seriously.
Neither of us are your typical "mechanic". I have a BSc and MSc in Mathematics; in my previous engagements, I was employed by global corporates where I demonstrated a unique ability to mix deep technical knowledge and strong hands-on expertise with business consultancy skills. I have over twenty years of systems integration and infrastructure design experience, gained while working across the Americas, Europe and the Pacific Rim.
This background allows me to bring a project management approach to my projects. I take a holistic view of Corvette modifications, seeing the strategic end result and the 'Big Picture" rather than just focusing on the immediate tactical aspects.
When I started EnglandGreen Inc. in 2007, it was a desire to fulfill a lifelong dream of doing what I love for a living. I've been modifying Chevy engines since 1981 in various project cars, many of them unlikely candidates, like stuffing a 454ci Big Block and TH400 into a 1983 Mercedes 500SEC, among other things. Purchasing Grond, my 2001 Coupe became a labor of love and was the next logical step in my Chevy engine evolution. Having a computer science background made my entry into PCM tuning a relatively easy transition.
While we are maintaining the well known EnglandGreen brand, we are centralizing the business to Houston Texas, where the compound is twice as large as my Florida building. We will be offering insured enclosed trailer transportation to all of our clients that are too far away to drive to our facility, and to accommodate my current and past Florida and Southeast clientele.
I look forward to serving your Corvette high performance needs.
Stephen
This is Jason Theriot (Cajundude@EnglandGreen now) and I'm a...oops, wrong speech... Yes, it is true!!!! I took care of it yesterday and Texas' newest corporation is EnglandGreen Corp. It is with great pleasure that I also announce our merger and forming a new entity!
To give ya'll a simplified version of my life, I have been a paralegal for the last 14 years, 11 with my previous employer, and one day I got tired of wearing a suit every day and had it with the legal world. My intentions were to go to law school with my best friend (who graduated about 5 years ago from law school) but fortunately I was in the business long enough to know it wasn't in my heart. Yes, yes, the LSAT was fun indeed...NOT!
I worked on plenty of cars on the side for fun and eventually started Gulf Coast Performance, Inc. originally as a parts business. Boxing up parts was I guess ok, , but playing with all the fun parts and not installing them drove me nuts. When Gulf Coast Performance started growing it was getting away of my legal job so I had to make a choice. So off with the suit and tie!!!!
I sold my race jet ski a little over one year ago for some starting capital and I opened the shop doors for Gulf Coast Performance, Inc. and the business took off and has exponentially grown. The business has outgrown me with regards to the amount of work coming in and I really need help. As much of a perfectionist as I am, I work on customer cars like they are my own. I hold customer service to the utmost priority and will keep it that way no matter how big the business gets. My customers know that they can always get in touch with me. Because of this and simply not having time, I could not bring it upon myself to hire someone and train them, and hope they do a good job. Not when my name is on the line!
I am at a breaking point in the business now where I have two choices, to let my customer service slip due to a back log of work, or expand the business.
Obviously, option number 2 is my choice and I (we) are now proceeding.
Thanks goes out to all of you for trusting me with you precious cars and we look forward to seeing you soon and making your dreams into reality!
P.S. I promise to not start spelling things goofy like EG.
Best regards!!!
Jason
