When did you get your first corvette?

I bought my first Corvette in 1973, I was 23 at the time. A Marina Blue '67 Roadster, 427/390, 4sp, pw, pb, ps, air. Still rests in my garage next to it's new sibling, a Nassau Blue '99 FRC. BTW, I paid 2 grand for the '67.

bought mine when I was 36 at the beginning of August 2001 and picked the vette up on Aug 31/2001 once I got back from working in the New York City area.

I'm amazed at how young you all are.... I bought my 01 ragtop used last year at 43. Paid cash. Waited until I had my kids colllege covered and my retirement relatively certain. Guess I'm not a risk taker so I rewarded myself later than most.

I was 27 years old, a year out of grad school and was a year into my first job as a Hospital Pharmacist. I got a used '71 vette that needed a LOT of work. It was drivable, but it took a couple of years to restore it.

I was expecting some young people, but I can't believe how many under 25 own corvettes. My insurance is going to be 70 dollars a month full coverage. I also have my home, bike, and wifes car with them.

I was 21, it was a 96 LT1 Coupe Red w/ tan guts. Good starter vette, auto, low miles, I added some Magnaflow mufflers & C5Z Motorsports. But I got sick of the auto so I sold it, and got a 02 Z06 at 23 which I still have. I'll be 27 this August.

I was 50 when I got my first vette. 84 coupe auto.
She went from this,
To this in a little over three months,
Traded her for this three years later 02 Mag Red Vert,
And over the past winter she was transformed to this,
Plus a little more that has been added....

I got my first Corvette in the fall of 1991, just a few weeks before my 22nd birthday. It was a 1984 model, here is a shot of it:

Bought my first Corvette (a `61) in 1972 at 22 years old.
In 1975 I bought the world's ugliest `64 Coupe. No longer in my garage, but still in the family and has been restored to perfection.
In 1977 I bought a "crunched" `71 Coupe, restored that and owned it for 21 years.
My wife had a `74 Convertible when we met, so for many years we had two Corvettes in the garage.
Since 1999 we have owned a `93 Convertible, `96 Convertible, and our current 2000 Convertible.
36 years of continuous Corvette enthusiasm!
