ARE YOU SURE ABUOT THAT STATEMENT?? Or are you jerking my chain? The instructions I got with them call-out installing that way. The castings or forgings where marked with each position.

What kind of rotors are they? I need a new pair for the back on my 98 any idea what price they are asking?

You can get compete set for ~$150 - $175 on Ebay. However, they are for show, not go (race track).

did mine last year, muck better look

I fitted wilwood rotors, they have a directional arrow, so you can't fit them wrong, sorry but these are the wrong way around

If you check other threads "Show off your Wheels" you will see the slots and drills going both ways. Not sure if there is a correct / wrong or a preferred direction.
