If Boston don't give you the urge for an A4, try Atlanta , Worst traffic in the US, longest commute times. (how about 2 miles= 1 hour and never getting out of 1st)

Pull up next to me sometime in your M6 and you'll see why autos dominate.

Well, it just saddens me that you find an A4 so terrible that you had to start a thread on it. I own an A4. I bought the car because I've always wanted a Vette since I was little. Around here (rural Va) Vettes don't grow on trees. I had to find mine 180 miles away and it was a steal, and yes an A4.

I don't plan to drag race, run an autocross, or show off this car. It has plenty of ***** off the line and on the highway if I should need it.

I like the fact that the Corvette has been around for 50+ years. I feel like I own a piece of American history, which I may add, is fading oh so quickly these days. If you like the 6 speed, wonderful, have fun. If someone prefers an Auto, good, enjoy it. We are ALL Corvette owners and you should respect everyone that owns one. That is the whole point of this forum.

Now, I will sit back and enjoy mmy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

I looked prepared to make concessions when I finally bit - and I'll admit it, the 6 speed was on the list of "Want it, but for the Right Car/Deal, not a Deal Breaker."

But, yes, I wanted to be more in touch with my inner hairy man... I wanted the 6 speed 'cause it's the epitome of what a sports car should be - hey, that's my opinion, just like the opinions of the many who've logged on to say this is America... and if they want to drive in a dress and heels, that's their business!!! :o I kid, I kid... the right deal would've had me defending it, too... hey, it's still a Vette!

ZeroToSixty, I feel your pain - It must be terrible to be so insecure in your masculinity that you have to drive a manual and make disparaging remarks about auto drivers.

There are so many good reason not to buy an auto,.........I am just wondering why forum members would opt for such a setup.

Have you ever watched Barrett Jackson ? The manuals get 20 or 30 percent over the auto.
Thread failure eminent...

I guess my question to you would be, "Why the hell would you start another thread that you know is going to cause an argument?"

I was having a chat with a senior official here on base concerning corvettes, I asked him if his was a 6 speed and he said no. I questioned that and he said, when you get to be my age in this traffic, the body parts dont have like they used to. Besides most people that can afford a vette are older guys (and gals) and pushing a cluth so often just isnt comfortable. Trust me i get it, drving up and down the hills in seattle is a pain in the a$$.

There have been more than enough M6 vs A4 threads and this one is going no where good. Just like all the rest.
