high rpm at start up idle
today my car just started acting up alittle. at start up the rpms were high over 1,000. and it didn't settle down till i drove it alittle bit and it warmed up. i would rev it up alittle while in park.hopeing it would settle down some 
and didn't help. anybody have any thoughts as to what might be the cause of this. just turned 80,000. changed plugs and wires last week. ac-delco iridims. and gm red wires. everything was fine for 6 or 7 days now this. any thoughts???

Melting Slicks
Mine will do that occasionally as well. Seems more prone to do it when it's a bit humid out and temps 50 - 60 F or so. I've just ignored it. It settles down again in less than a minute.....
