Default powder coated Z06 wheels?Pics please!

Does anyone recommend this? How about some pics....

or is it better to just go with black motorsports?

I don't care for the polished lip of the motorsports, I would rather have an all black wheel.

Here is mine, its not a gloss black. I like it a lot and agree with you on not liking the motorsports. It really does look a lot better than in this pic also.

i want to powder coat my stock wheels too but don't know what to do about the center caps as they are plastic and will melt during baking. did you paint your center caps?

I actually bought the car with them on there already, but yes you do paint the center caps you would just need to find a paint that best matches the color and shade of powder coat you use.

Here is a variation, the lip is machined. The part that's machined is very thin. OEM 18x10.5 on all 4.

Thanks. The tires are Pirelli PZero Corsa sized 315/30/18. Yes, in all 4.

I have to admit, I'm not the first person to have the idea. The airdam fastener spacing is the same spacing as the license plate holes. I can proudly say that nothing needed drilling. All plug-n-play

I've heard that powder coating forged parts weakens them.

Even if that is true... Aren't 02-04 speedline spun-cast... I thought only 01 Alcoa wheels were forged?

I'm having the lips of my 01 forged rims polished on the outer lip, just about 3/4" where the face of the lip is flat. Then I'm painting the rest of the wheel competition gray like the optional C6 rims and then having the whole rim clearcoated. I hope to have them back in a week.
