Headroom in C5 Z06s
I'm looking to buy another Z06 since mine was wrecked. A friend tells me that the 2004 Z06s have less headroom than the 2002 models which makes them less desirable for a tall autocross driver who has to wear a helmet. Can anyone confirm this? Does the 2003 model have the same problem?

2001-2004 Z06 are all the same.. There is no difference in head room, maybe extra padding,, don't really think it makes a difference .. If you are over 6'2" its real close... These cars really are not tall people friendly

I had a '99 FRC and when I got the '03Z I noticed a bulge / drop down in the headliner behind the driver that wasn't in the '99. There's also 2 small plastic boxes mounted above teh shoulder harness anchor bolts that weren't in the '99. I'm 6'3" and fit fine. Wearing a helmet, it would be a different story. As mentioned above, I've heard it's just a matter of swapping the '03 - '04 headliner out for one from and '01 - '02 Z or '99 - '00 FRC.
