I dont even use that crap...kind of annoying if anything...everybody's always get the 02 because HUD's standard....if you buyers come along a nice 01 dont pass it up cuz of no HUD...youre not missing anything

It was cool to play with when I just got the car but once I was settled in I never use it.

Thats the main reason I like it. During those spirited driving moments 120+, things happen very quickly and having the speed and other info right in front of you helps a lot.

I LOVE IT. I wish I had it in the other car I have , the HHR SS, as the speedo is tiny and has like 10mph increments, not the best for pressing your luck with the speeds. Its so intuitive, and you know right away when something else is wrong with the car because warnings pop up on it too. You know how fast you are going while actually seeing the action on the road too, very handly for running hard in traffic.

On the track, HUD is a life-saver. Having the tach, speed and oil pressure right there means not having to look down at critical moments. On the street, having the speed right in front of me has saved me several potential tickets. The only time I find it annoying is at night, on dark roads. But that's what the light control is for. All around, HUD is a good thing, IMHO.

i wouldn't say that i dont like it....but i think the analog gauges are almost perfect. id rather look at them. if only they had the chrome ring around them.
the only real benefits in my opinion: at high speeds if you have a malfunction, you dont have to take your eyes off the road. and if you dont have a shift light, it helps with the rpm at the track.

I like this HUD better than the one in my Grand Prix GXP. That one (red) could not be seen while wearing Polarized sunglasses, so it was pretty useless in the light of day. I need to use the one in the Corvette because I have a tendency of looking at the road and not the tachometer (too many automatic transmissions). The HUD tach and shift light save me from hitting the rev limiter…
