Congrats to your daughter and to you. To this day, I still remember the day I graduated from my police academy. That was a great accomplishment for me and everyone in my class. I'm sure your daughter knows that feeling.
Tell her to be safe and always listen to her senior training officer as the next few years she'll learn the most in officer survival on the streets; it then will become natural instinct, something she could never learn in the academy.

My daughter hardly knew him as he died in 93, but the stories of him made her interested in law enforcement. His name was Jim Boutwell. He was credited with the capture of Henry Lee Lucas, a famous Texas serial killer.
