Default Recaro seats and C6 wheels on a C5

Well... a friend said that Recaro seats are Rice??? Can you believe that??

Anyways, I got me a set of Recaro seats for my C5, I installed them using the original C5 power brackets so all the power options still work They are made of suede leather and blue cloth and its like they are made of velcro, they keep you in the right position even on hard corners.

I also got a set of 19" and 18" C6 wheels and tires.. and I love the way they look on C5s

The next step will be the rear bar for the 4 point seat belts

And C6 Z06 brakes

Opinions???

Im not sure, but they are slightly heavier than the cheap original seats... I think the little difference is worth it. I'll have to make more power later to compensate the extra weight of the seat belt bar too, but ill get into that later

those look like EVO seats. I want some. I guess I got to cruise the evo boards. Easy to fit in there.

IS that the SRD seat? I used to have them in my Z28 and loved them. HUGE improvement over stock seats. I didn't think they'd fit these cars. They look great BTW.

They are called Recaro Sport, the SRD are bigger, this fit great Took me a while to figure out how to adapt them to the existing power brackets, but they work perfectly

I don't think those brakes will work with the wheels you have on your car. You might want to check before you put them on.

Oh of course, I'll make sure what size of wheel I need... from what I know C6 Z06 have 18" wheels in the front, so they may work.

Thanks for your comments

Awesome brembos!!! Are those rotors made of carbon composite or something??
Are those Corbeau seats?? They look great!! I'd like to have my seats in black leather... but here in arizona the heat is a big issue... specially if you're riding without the targa top.

Also the suede kinda keeps you in position while the cloth keeps those important parts (butt and back) fresh

Im looking to do some HPDE soon and maybe some weekend club racing or something, so Im sure this seats will do the job

I've got the same C6 wheels as you only in chrome, I was told the C6 ZO6 calipers won't clear the wheels.

You're correct, those are the stock seat out of an 03-05 Evo. Not a huge fan of the blue inserts, but the seats are definitely very nice!!

Indeed, but they are not exclusive from the Evo. I like the blue insert because it matches the car color. The pics show the blue way lighter than it really is, but its more like a cark purplish blue, just like my car.

Hey, Let us know how they feel comfort wise.... I have been trying to decide on new seats for mine, but the Sparco's are really uncomfortable.

thanks

No, they are standard cast iron Brembo GT rotors.

Yes, they are Corbeau TRS seats. I've since had the center re-done in a synthetic suede, for the same reasons you mentioned. Better grip and cooler in summer. I'll try to post pics of them soon.
