The new 'blacked out' look, done in flat black
Is this the new deal out in CA? seems there are a few cars/trucks getting this 'stealth' treatment
noticed it on the a Tahoe on some skater show on mtv
I do NOT plan on doing this, just wanted to see what is going on out in other parts of the country

That was Rob and Big I think you saw on MTV.. It used to be a rat rod thing... I have a '59 ford f-100 flat black. I got the idea from the same truck tricked out with that paint in 2001....
There were pics of a c5 from overseas someone posted that was very stealth looking
Haven't seen any other vehicles flat black in KCMo.

Things are done differently in CA.
I forget the street slang term for the blacked out gangsta look ("murdered out" ?). Some like it, some don't. To me, all black is hardly "stealth".
I just read an article that many manufacturers and custom builders are now using non gloss color paints (not primer/suede) on some cars, which is also becoming popular.

"Murdered out" usually refers to everything being blacked out.. windows, wheels, trim, paint... some cars just look pure evil like that.
I tend to think silver is a much more inconspicuous color on the road... one step further is the two-tone paint job my '86 used to have... silver top, black bottom.. thing damn near disappeared into the road.
'Course, now, it's *all* black since my sis wanted it that way when I gave it to her.

Need a wash? Break out some sand paper.
Man, think about it. No swirls or scratches. No need for Zaino. Sandpaper in your pocket and let's roll! That's a daily driver!
