Big difference. I ended up swapping the partition that came with the car for this one with a little Z16 CE "Bling"!

I also purchased one from a forum vendor made of MDF. It quieted the interior down considerably and finishes off the interior of the vehicle nicely as well.

Here's a funny fitment ....B&B Bullets FIT in the trunk as do the stock TI's....almost perfectly I might add lol.

My B&B's broke and I love the loud growl but once I get them fixed (hanger broke) I am considering a partition.

(Can't wait to put em back on I can barely hear the TI's now that I've lived with B&B's for a year lol)

Who makes the lightest weight partition?

It was one of the first things I did to my car. I like the trunk being blocked off, but able to remove it if necessary. I think it reduced tire noise levels, improved radio/CD listening, and A/C cooling.
I bought a generic MDF carpeted partition (both sides).

I love golf and they fit in my trunk with the partiton in place. Just take your driver out of the bag!

The Ecklers is about the lightest out there, and is probably the best at killing noise!

Who has a partition along with say a stealth box in the back? I have a 10" sub in the stealth box, did it decrease or muffle the bass coming from the sub?

Mines been in for five years. One of the best mods I did . And there's the fact that it helps with the air conditioning too. Cools down a lot faster with the partition.

Same one here...reduced the interior noise & made the stock stereo sound even better.

You will lose a little volume, but it will sound much better. W/o partition,at about 20 (volume), the rear quarters start to rattle. With it, I can go to 25. (yeah, yeah, sound deadening is my next project)

Cool, thanks for the info! mine is already dynomated and has a custom audio system in it, I would just like to quiet it down a little in the back, although it is not bad by any means.

The partition does help, but if you really want a BIG improvement install Dynamat in strategic locations (e.g., inside wheel well, flat panels behind seats, etc.) Basically any resonate areas. One large box will do it.

Good luck

I bought a really nice partition from a fellow CFer. It helped a lot with the tire noise (GY F1s) and the HVAC works much better now, especially with the "greenhouse effect" in the sun. It will obviously come out on track days...

Didn't like it. Removed it from my 2004 z16.

Used for 1-day. Anyone interested in it? Can ship it out FAST.
(.. just didn't like the sound baffle it creates) (name-brand)

I like to hear ALL the noise the car has to give me. HAHAHA.

ZOOOOOM ZOOOOOOOOOM.
