Default A bit of a rant...or vent session

So we had an amazing weekend here in NC this weekend. Got the sled out and washed it all up. Took it into work today and went for a drive at a lunch. I see a sweet looking c6 turning onto the road I am on as I go past the intersection, so what do I do? Wave. Naturally. It's what we do. I know the dude saw me...did not wave back. Nice. So I give him the benefit of the doubt right. Well about 1/4 of a mile down the road his old a$$ flies up on me and starts riding my a$$. Like a foot from my bumper...I was in the right hand lane going about 8-10 over the limit..not many people around. He stays there for about a mile jamming his c6 up my crack. So I had enough of it and just slowed it down to the speed limit. Dude rips around me and gives me the FU salute. Seriously..wtf!?! I try not to judge, but what an old POS that guy was. Bringing down the name of all other vette owners. Anyway, had to get that off my chest. And if you were that guy in the black C6 today in RTP message for you: ur awesome, ur the man, I wanna be just like you....old and a POS! Oh and nice fake rug on your melon.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!

This kind of owner is the exception and not the rule. Glad you kept your cool. Maybe some day he'll cool his heels and LEARN THE WAVE

Default save the wave??

I have only been a Corvette owner for a couple of years. I remember when Porsch and Jag waved too. I have waved my A## off and get about 10% return...and I drive a vert with the top down 99% of the time. I am now a return waver as opposed to an instigator waver.

There are Corvette enthusiasts and Corvette owners. Clearly that person falls into the owner group.

Here's a wave to ya. Have a nice night!

Might be far fetched, but here's a possibility---Maybe his eyes aren't that good, and he thought you were flipping him off Thus he got pi$$ed off and just HAD to return the favor!!!It kinda makes some sense(in a weired sort of way)

He was probably just having a psychotic reaction from a Viagra overdose. And was on his way to his Doctor's office as the warnings say if you are acting like an *** for over 4 hours you should seek help from your Physician.

There are Vette owners and vette enthusiasts. guess which one you found

Some people will never understand the cameraderie that comes with owning a classic.

So how old is old here?

I wave 90% of the time and get few in return. I also find its the lady's who wave the most. I've even had a few lady's in other cars wave. I used to ride a big street bike and almost everyone waves. Oh well I'll just keep waving and enjoy the ride.

I started waving the minuet I drove my C4 off the lot almost 3 years ago and didn’t get many return waves I began to think it was snobbery because I was in a C4. Now that I have a C5 it hasn’t changed still about 10% wave back some are on a cell phone and some just don’t pay any attention to the road. Save the WAVE!!!!

As far as the guy in the C6 there are Dumbasses and Jackasses in every walk of life unfortunately Darwin is just not working fast enough.

What I would of done in mine is teach that older fella a small lesson in what happens when you mess with a C5, the big brother of the C6 - he would of wanted to trade it in for the new ZR1.

it would of only took two seconds for him to realize that a 1 foot gap can turn into a 100' gap! as he watched my tail lights get smaller - two seconds then come back to the speed limit!

Then after he was grabbing his butt I would re-wave to him with a big fat smile! and of course shake my finger in the no no way!

Thanks,Matt
