OK,I'm still trying to get a grip on all the abbreviations ,where I'm from a POS usually refers to a crappy car.Now it's in reference to an old fart.Can someone enlighten me?(Maybe I am one cause I'm not picking up on this one!!)

Regarding the C6 driver in this case: Some people are just antisocial and overly aggressive.... his loss and he was lucky the OP didn't follow him and kick his a** whenever he stopped. But then most Corvette owners are good people and wouldn't do that to anyone. Save the wave!!

There are dick heads (DH's) both young and old. This one just happened to be of the older persuasion. Anyway, that being said, you have more patience than I. I would have either hit the brakes or blown him away and waited for him to catch up.

... so there I was, heading home after work, cruising west out of Phoenix when I came upon a blue C6Vert with a lady driving. Well, when I overtake someone, I toot my horn once as I go by. This lady was NOT ready for my toot, as she about launched out of her car - hands in the air, eyes squished up against her shades and that sure was not a smile on her face. I kinda slumped down in my seat and scooted-on ahead, hoping not to have her catch me and shoot me or something. Anyway, I always wave, even if it's not another person in a vette waving.

these cars attract alot of attention where ever you go. most is nice but there are always idiots that are jealous. the other day i was out for a drive 4 lane divided highway. cruise set for 65 come up on a lifted dodge and a ford f-150. you know the type 5.0 mustang emblem on sides a confederate flag in back window and a real american flag waveing in the wind. thought nothing of it went to pass and these idiots wouldn't let me pass. they pulled beside each other i seen the one guy rolled down his window and they agreed to drive at 45 mph beside each other for the next 10 miles no exits. drifting on and of the road throwing stuff all over my car. i was freaking pissed. and of course i left my damn cell phone at home or was gonna call five-0 .. there were 3 guys in one truck and a guy and a girl in the other. if they would of pulled over like i was motioning i would of went rambo on them. they finally let me by and they were laughing and thinking how funny. people are real *******s when they want to be. later that day was at a red light and a guy and his girl pass me in a c4. and both wave of course. kind of made up for the earlier idiots.

He MUST have thought that you flipped him first for some reason. I just can't imagine anyone, regardless of the car, doing that for any other reason.
And if he WAS just being an ****.....the Corvette Gods will get him later as his transmission seizes up, the engine won't get over 2500 rpm and his run-flats actually go flat. Keep an eye on the C6 forum for him asking how to fix all his problems.

Just remember the wave is a gift you give away. If you get a return great but if not you helped improve the day at least for a moment as that wave is felt everywhere.

Hopefully 6 months from now if he still has his c6, he will have learnded the ways of the vette'ers and think himself a jackass for how he acted when he first got his.
That sucks. Should of just pulled onto the shoulder of the highway with your 4ways on and take a 10 min break 15 seconds into their rodeo clown act. Ruin the jackasses fun before it even starts. I refuse to give people like that the satisfaction of getting me to feed into their assholishness. If they want to act like dog dicks and target people they envy then so be it. They must have very fullfilling and happy lives eh?
