I bought my baby when I was 17, and I'm currently 18. She's a mostly stock 2000 Red Coupe, only regret is that I couldn't find an M6 in the right price range at the time, so I have an A4
I have a LONG list of mods I'd like to start doing but College is in the way. Oh well, it's a bit more important for the time being :P
As for the money thing:
I put $12k down on the total cost of $22k, paid off the loan in a year. I'm very greatful to my parents for putting a roof over my head and feeding me while I was still living there so I could afford the car. I paid for the car, and I pay for the insurance, maintenance, and gas. I currently attend SMU on 50% scholarship, 25% grants, and 25% personal loan.

I think I may have the record here. I bought a brand 2004 c5 my junior year in highschool when I was 16. I got a very good price on it because my family is very close with the owner of the chevy dealership, however the downside was the car is an a4. I had to take out a few loans from the bank of grandma, but I have since paid for the car entirely.
I am now 21, and have already started to save for a ZR1. I was lucky enough to keep my college tuition because of a track scholarship, and if my internship goes well this summer, I should have enough by the end of the year!!

I love seein all of us young guys with these awsome sports cars. were only young once so why not? my list of toys that i want is almost complete and I think its better to have them when im young and use them rather then when im 40 or 50 and would rather take it slower.

yea actually. My dad worked in construction and my brother worked at a local car dealer. I would work for my dad during the week and work for my brother during the weekend.

I hear that. From the first time I saw a corvette I knew I had to have one. I remember my first job in 7th grade bagging groceries saving my minimum wage money to put towards my car. The worst part about it was I never asked for anything for christmas or my birthday, just money to put in the bank to save for the car... but im pretty happy now!
