Melting Slicks
Mine are setting in my storage shed ready to be installed on my new wheels. I agree for the price and the reviews they are a deal that would be hard to pass up. I don't know if you saw this thread but in case you didn't enjoy.....

In short, after reading through that thread, you'll see that not one person running these tires has expressed anything negative. The majority are reporting that these tires handle exceedingly well in heavy rain, have exceptional cornering ability and can handle first gear better than most anything else. Some of us are using these on the track with great results. Some of us think the tread looks weird, and that seems to bother a few, saying that's reason enough to not buy them. Everyone seems to agree they're an excellent value. A few people are putting these tires on the same level as the F1 Supercars and Goodyear GS-D3's, but for a lot less money.
I ordered my set (stock sizes, Z06) from Tomz last week for $714 delivered and if all goes well, I'll have them on my car Friday morning. I'll come back with plenty of pics and first impressions!

Has anyone here ever put a 295 on the rear of a stock C5 rim? Is that too wide or will it work?

yes they are the previous version just called "ultrac". i don't care for the newer ultrac "sessanta" tread pattern.
the ones with the wicked tread which i bought can still be found in 275/35/18 for the front, which is what i have coming.

I've had them on my 2000 FRC for about 3,000 miles now, installed at the same time as my STS TT. For the last 7 years I've run the stock runflats. WHAT a difference!!! Much better traction, cornering, and ride quality. Could be just from going from runflats to non but the difference is tremendous. I will continue to buy these from Tomzwheels for both my C5's when they need new tires. Also I put the slightly bigger tire on the rear wheels with zero problems.
