So tell me what would make you trade in your C5 for a C6?

I just don't care for the look, when compared to a C5. So for me there is nothing holding me back from purchasing a C6 except styling. I can match C6 HP for a lot less money than buying a C6.

I cannot justify parting with my hard earned cash to trade my great looking and great running C5 for a C6.
I would bet dollars to donuts, that if I replaced my C5 with the same (similar) color C6, my neighbors would not realize that I got a different Vette. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

My '02 is paid for (as well as my other vehicles). While not wealthy, I could easily trade up to a low mileage C6. But there's not enough of a difference in the cars for me to want to make some more payments. A C6 Z06 might be a different matter. However, I would wait a couple more years for the price to come down on a low mileage version.
You rich guys stay out of these threads. If I had tons of disposable income, I would have my Z06 already.

If I could find a new silver 08 Z06 for $10,000 of MSRP within a short distance from me, I would go for it. Otherwise, I'll keep my 26,000 mile '98.

The C6 is to cramped and small inside for me. Also I really think you need a stand out color with the C6 to give it a wow factor. The AVERAGE C6 does not float my boat. Make mine a Z06 like others want and I`m there, for sure !

When I bought my 2004 Z06, I test drove both the C6 and the C5-Z06 back-to-back. I just liked everything about the Z06 better. The C6 felt too much like a hi-performance Caddy to me. The Z06, on the other hand, had a nice edgy rawness to it, yet was still refined. For me it was no contest...... C5-Z06 all the way.
As for $$$ - that was not an issue. Now as for a C6-Z06....vey nice, but no thanks. I'll take my C5Z and mod it.

I barely have time to drive my Vette as it is, and while I like the look of the C6, I'm perfectly happy with a paid-for C5. If I had the extra cash to spend on a car, I wouldn't even be interested in doing so -- I have other interests and priorities... savings, retirement, etc.

My current vette is already paid for, and I don't care to (more than) double my "investment" to upgrade to a C6Z. I wouldn't hesitate a second if somebody wanted to do an even trade, though.

I like the looks of my C5 better, and for the difference in price I could easily mod mine to outperform the C6 in every way; allthough I am very happy with the performance as it is. Therefore the C5 stays (at least until the C7 comes out!).

I've been kicking this around for over a year now. I go look at new ones and get motivated, then I think about how much I like my C5 and talk myself out of it. It would probably have to be a Z06 before I am properly motivated. Maybe I'll get an extra Lotto ticket this weekend, and see what happens.

Have you even driven a C6? Drive it and see if you really think it's better....everyone claims how much better it is than the C5. Kinda like how much better the C5 was than the C4. Anyways....it's up to you. I personally like the C6 better in every way except the rear end.
