Default Why is the used C5 market so depressed?

If you have been watching the C5 for sale forum, there are some unbelievable deals out there but nothing seems to be selling (including mine )

Is it the fact that there are just so many C5's out there? I guess these will never be a collector car, at least not in my lifetime!

Economy as a whole + winter time = sports car prices in the tank.

You can get a brand new '08 C6 for under $40,000 with a 5 year warranty.

I always thought it funny we sell Vettes on a Vette forum. 99.999999999999% of the people here already have Vettes.

Winter and the economy is getting better.

I saw where even Pro-Team cut the price of a '67 from 400,000 to 300,000.

So prices are going to come down and that means you might be able to pick up a second vette.

True
When I was looking for my vette I never thought to come to a corvette forum and look to buy a corvette. I wish I did cause at least I know the guys on here keep their cars in top form and sell pretty cheap.

I also think the cheapness of the C6's have something to do with it. It's even possible I will able to get a c6z06 and keep my C5. Oh how that would make me a happy boy

the economy as a whole is slow right now. It should start picking up after the new year.

#1 Even 2004 C5s are now 4 years old
#2 C6s are being offered at low prices
#3 Better Finance on new cars.

And keep in mind prices will continue to go down not up as they get older and newer models come out.

Try to sell a Vette in the winter is almost like selling a motorcycle. When spring hits we all get excited a little more. I did just pick up a nice 2003 Harley-Davidson Deuce SE for a good price. Now is the time to buy.
