Didnt say I would drive it everyday. but definately dont let is collect dust in the garage either. Everyone i know keeps asking when you gonna drive the 61 again. So many people want to just ride in it. just dont believe in just taking it to shows and then back to the garage. Love to drive all my vehicles.

Default Driving her!

When I first got mine it never saw foul weather. If it looked like it might rain, in the garage it stayed. 2006 was a bad year, lots of rainy days. I was getting ticked at having this beautiful car sitting in the garage day after day. I also noticed a lot of other nice cars (Porshes, Vettes etc.) driving in the rain and I was jealous.

That's when it hit me, why was I keeping her dry? It is not a collector car, not a show car, not becoming more valuable and I love washing her almost as much as driving her.

I've been driving her whenever I want to drive her. If I just detailed the car and it looks rain, I may decide to wait for a nicer day, but sometimes I don't, and I've never been happier.

Good For You.

Just think-you will actually have more free time now. I know I do. I seem to get everywhere 10 minutes earlier with this stupid grin on my face wherever I go.

I really don't see why you couldn't drive it all year except if you have snow. The chemicals they use around here would create havoc on the chrome on the car. I actually only drive mine when it is sunny, probably 2500 miles per year. Not exactly a garage queen, but close.....

Does this mean that now you'll have less time to moderate and close/lock threads?

Default I considered it once....

I originally bought my '02 Pewter Coupe as a backup to my DD '84. After my first roadtrip driving from NC to NJ, the '02 picked up DD duty. The C5 is such a great car, and I can't leave it in the garage. With gas prices as they are, the Vette pulls primary duty (30 mpg frwy, 16-19 cty). My "family" car can only pull a 27 mpg (frwy)

I bought her in Feb 05, 22,000 mi on the ticker. She now has 69000.

This car was made for driving, plain and simple.

Very cool! Just keep her clean anf waxed and it'll last forever!

I just hate it when a Vette gets all that crap under the wheels and the body , so just keep it cleaned

Thanks,Matt
