Question about Single DIN headunit (56K beware)
Does anyone know how this might look in a C5???
It's a single DIN but a little bit bigger so it fills the area that most single DIN's don't fill.
Dimension is: 7.68"x7.36"x2.8"(LxWxH)
Thanks,
John

It Cost $199.00

It's no sony or pioneer...But I figure you really can't go wrong for something like that under $200
I've never purchased anything from these guys I found it the other day.

I think I am going to try it out. Just the blue tooth and touch screen is cool enough for me, the DVD will just be bonus.
Besides the radio and a custom install piece, would I need anything for it to play dvd's?

Seems like the price is that low because it was made in China. I would definitely rethink that purchase. Who knows if the unit will hold up over time. Make sure you get a warranty and good luck. It does look pretty !

I must admit it does look really cool but in my experience YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! I'm not saying that it's not a good unit, but for that price I doubt whether the sound quality is even going to be on par with the factory Bose system. Just my $0.02
If anyone does go ahead and install one I'd be interested to hear how it performs! Good luck

A friend bought one like this one for 225 and it lasted 2 months, He sent it back and the new one was doa. If you have money to burn I guess 200 bucks for a few months is ok... I will pass.

Nothing else is needed to play the DVD's. I think you need one of those PAC-OEM hook up things to connect an aftermarket headunit to the factory bose system, but I would look under the audio section and see exactly what you would need.
I figure that if I'm hooking up my aftermarket interior speakers to a 4 channel amp the sound quality would be better being that I wouldn't be using the factory amps or the deck power alone. The power from the deck is 60wattsx4.
Even though it is made in china...Many high quality headunits are made there too. Most of the time you are paying for the name. I owned a Pioneer Headunit that lasted about 2 years. I also owned a no name brand headunit that I purchased online 3 years ago and still works perfect today.
I do wish that it came with navigation but for everything that it comes with seems to be worth it. I'm going to purchase it after the holidays. I'm post a complete write up with video on how it performs and all.

On their website it states that there is a 12 month warranty on any defects or any problems with any of their products. I don't know maybe I'll just have to learn that lesson myself from experience.

That is really sweet looking.
It looks like it is just a little "thicker" on the face than the JVC unit. If so it may stick out a little further than you'd like unless you modified a mount to make it fit flush.
