keeping up with the joneses syndrome
A few months ago, I dropped some jaws and bought my first Vette! I love it, it's beautiful, clean, mean sounding, fast, etc. It runs 11.60's @ 118mph in the 1/4 mile, has 385rwhp through a stalled auto, has a big cam and lots of bolt ons. I bought, what I thought was a BEAUTIFUL Corvette with PLENTY of power!
Now, my best friend is getting a modded Stang. Now, all I can think of is AFR heads and a FAST 90/90 setup.
Sigh ... what's wrong with me!?!? I have had mod fever all my adult life and I don't know what to do with it, but how the heck can we just be happy with what we have and be done with it?!?! I am clearly a very blessed individual as it is!

A Mustang is not even something you should consider competition. It is a lesser car in every respect. Compared to a Vette, it is a turd and you know the saying about polishing a turd.
Let him spend his resources on making it fast. No matter how fast he makes it it will still be a Mustang. It's not like you will be wishing he would trade cars with you.

Enjoy your ride and be a good friend and let him enjoy his. Tease the hell out of each other, but work on both of them together. Cars are cool and good friends are great. Enjoy them both, while you can.

Mod fever is hard to cure. As long as it doesn't break the bank, go with it.

when i got the vette, they tried to out do me once again until they seen they were livin outside their means, and they had to bow down
