Couldn't agree more.

Since buying my 04 Z06 I make it a point to drive it on nice days during the winter. As long as there's no snow, ice, or heavy sand on the road I'll take it out, even up here in New England....

Every day. It's my DD. If it snows (which is rare), I stay home. Of course, this is Georgia.

Default winter driving

as long as the weather is clear, no snow, no rain, no ice, no salt, i'll drive it. but now we have to get out earlier to spend the day crusing around the tri-state area.

I'll drive it until the first snow or ice. Then the salt and cinders they put down seems to hang around until spring.

Default No "Girlie" Snow Up Here

Here's an example of why I don't "ever" drive my Corvette in the winter.

Parked mine for the winter! Couldn't even get it out of the garage if I wanted to! I go out and visit it and sit in it and dream of the warm weather!

Anything short of snow on the roads and I'm driving the Vette. My Yukon gets lonely sometimes!

No problems here with driving her all winter long. In fact I really look forward to the real cold days (30's & 40's) to take her out, no bugs! It's nice to go for a drive and not have to wipe off the front of the car when you are done. Of course we have very few days that it stays cold for long but the ones that do are fun.

If the roads are dry and I can drive it with the top down (>50F or so), then I'm driving it. Luckily, we get a few days like that in Dallas during the winter

It depends on where you are for winter. In Minnesota the winters are very harsh and long so very few people would do it.

I drive mine all year, but IF we ever get snow here in north Alabama, I will leave it at home in favor of my old Chevy truck. I do drive in the C5 in the rain though...

I'm lucky enough to be able to drive mine year round here in Florida. I couldn't imagine having to put the Vette up for a few months and not be able to drive her! I really do feel for you guys that have to!

Drove mine today, I put about 40 miles on the car, got the oil changed and took my 5 yr and 8 yr old granddaughters out for rides in it. Temps in the low 30's, snow melt isn't too bad after the rains on Monday so the roads are mostly dry except for a damp spot here and there where there is some runoff. Much better than if the car was sitting on blocks for the winter.

Bill

Just came back from Cambria, Ca. It is just south of San Francisco about 100 miles or so. It was 62 degrees and made for a nice walk on the beach. Our room had a partial ocean view and no fog, which was a bonus. Took awhile to get there because we made 5 wine tasting stops on the way. Found a great new desert wine. Photos pending.

Only obstacle here during winter is occasional rain and very rarely hail otherwise any day is game all year round.
