4300K or 6000K HIDs?
I'm debating between this 2 light colors- 4300K is pure whight, and 6000K is white w/ slight blue. Which color would you choose for your vette?

If it helps 4300 luminates the road more and 6000 does just a little bit less. The higher you go up. The less light you get. But I'd go with 6000. It looks folds better than 4300.
Good luck with your decision

6000k here. there is no blue in it
4300k would have a bit of yellow in it . I would think .
you would have to go higher than 6000k to get blue .
6000k is perfect

The above two posts are incorrect. The o.e. manufacturers use 4300k as it is closest to pure white light. 6000k does have a blue tint to it, and is at the limit as to what will not get you pulled over by the police. 8500k is so purple that you'd get alot of unwanted attention by the police, and you wouldn't be able to see very well at night. Do a Google search for images of various kelvin temp lights and you will see for yourself.

4300 being pure white just isn't a good combination with the stock headlights. I have 5000K and the "hot spots" in the beam pattern produce quite a bit of unwanted glare. A 6000K has less white so the glare in the hot spots is significantly reduced.
If you have (or plan to have) Projectors, pretty much any color is fine.

this is 4300k lows and 6000k fogs.
this is 6000k lows and fogs.
6000k DOES have a hint of blue.
here you can see the more yellowish color of 4300k vs 6000k.
here's another shot showing the difference between 4300 & 6000.
i ended up with 6000k all around because i like the looks of it better, even though 4300k has more light output.
i put in 8000k in my GF's car (her choice) and it is WAY too blue for my tastes. (see omar's above)

I was waiting for you to chime in JDM!
Do you have a picture of what the 8000 looks like in your GF's car? I was thinking about putting the 8000 in my yukon denali and the 6000 in my car.
