Wow, I bet there aren't many vettes there
Can you take more shots around Dubai?
48 Degree C = about 110+ F
Great looking ride! Do the women in Dubai look as good as your car? Better yet, just post the pictures and we'll decide!
So if the sand covers the road, how do they "clear the road"? There are snow plows for snow -- so does that mean you all have "sand plows" for sand?
A Simoom (Arabic samûn from samm "poison") is a strong, dry, dust-laden desert wind that blows in the Sahara, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and the deserts of Arabia. It is also known as a samiel, a simoun, or a simoon. Its temperature may exceed 54°C and the humidity may fall below 10%.

Hehe - their is a class devide here, either you drive an old Toyota / nissan or you drive a Super Car of sorts. The reason for not buying a C6 was simply because i was bored looking at them, they really are not so special when you see them everywhere.
I have loads, but i will take shots specifically for Forum Anyone Gen Interested in having a sneaky peek into Dubai life PM me and i will send you a link to our online photo album.
Temp. is (excuse the pun) a hot topic here, Over the summer i would daily see the car Ext temp over 50 Degrees (parked in shade), however labour law dictates that no one is allowed to work above 49 Degrees - oddly officaly it has never been over that temp....... News papers always report 39/40 when it is easily 10 degrees higher. Big problem is during the summer it never cools, not like vegas at 3am it is still 38ish etc so it is painfull to endure the mid summer months. Now is perfect at around 35 Degrees and 30 in the evening
Trolly dollys from Emirates provide the most entertainment around the bars and clubs. Local woman cover up. But i am a married man so not for my eyes
I drove out 10 minutes from my house to the edge of town for these pictures. They do have sand plows to deal with:
I once made my corvette fly by hitting a sand bank that had built up on the motor way
My good lady is forced to wave at any corvette I see Payed off loads on the way back from Abu Dhabi (2hr Journey) Roof down she waves at a C6 Zo6 boys in full traditional dress, say "Follow us, no speed Cameras" So we tail them all the way back with them clearly marking out any speedys, easily cut the return journey in half :o

Great pics! Ya know its amazing, I always liked the UAE. Beutiful sunrise and sunsets over there. Ive never been to Dubai, but spent a fair amount of time around Abu Dhabi (actually just outside of town, but went into town enough to like it). Its funny that you mention the temp and your laws. I can tell you for sure that I have seen temp near 60 there! Temp inside the cockpit was almost 70
Ill be moving to Saudi soon and they promise Ill get to take some trips to Dubai, Im looking forward to it. May have to look you up for a ride...Ill be missing my Z as I have to leave her behind.

Yep, spent five months working Abu Dhabi, it was no joke hot. Saw more high end cars there in that time then in my whole life. Everyday I drove by a Bugatti Veyron sitting in a show room.
In closing, I'll just mention Spinney's and 49ers, those that have been there will understand.
