decent sound on highway, but again, I can easily carry on a conversation or listen to the radio

But step on it, and people know you have a hot car!
That sounds like a great sound, would love to hear that set up!

I found some others on YouTUbe, that helps

Default SLP Powerflow

Here's what I'm saving for. $765 at Maryland speed, cheap shipping. This is with an X pipe so it will probably sound a little bit more raspy on my stock exhaust h pipe. I LOVE THAT TIP.

I currently have the Z06 Ti exhaust on my otherwise stock exhaust system. I switched right after I bought the car, but without headers they are still too quiet for me. To me they sound better than stock especially at WOT but still not enough. They are great when coming home late and trying to be stealthy though.

Thanks, can't ask for a better analysis between the two stock exhaust systems.

From that clip I still think the stock system sounds great. Not too loud, nice mean idle, and good throttle up/down. Seems like the Ti's have a little more european sound at throttle up/down. Almost the same on idle though.

Wonder why the Ti's moved so much during throttle response? I noticed that the other day following a C6, his exhaust pipes were moving all over back there. There was only minimal movement on the original stock system.

I would go back to stock if there was a way to put quality 4-inch tips on it. The Pace Cars have gotten to be just a little irritating on trips and don't have a deep enough sound. Anybody tried taking off the wimpy stock tips and grafting on something else?

Pypes is now manufacturing a catback system for the C5. Some of the other sytems are "prettier", but none of them give you this much bang for the buck. Just had mine installed (otherwise stock exhaust).

Why not switch to Z06 Ti's? They sound almost like stock and have 4 nice round tips.

Borla Touring (the big muffler ones) great tips, nice low rumble not loud, no highway sound at all) all big 3" SS, flow's great. Would never go back to stock, especially with those ugly bolted on tips (what were they thinking!)

Yes, the TI's are a definite option. However, I just drove a buddy's car that has Bissani x-pipe and cat-backs. Man, it is quiet compaired to the Pace Cars! Can't even hear the exhaust inside the car and it's a vert!! Plus, there's those huge 4-inch chrome tips, and a nice rumble at idle.... that's gonna be be it.

Can't imagine why anyone would want louder than Corsa Pace Cars.
