FWIW, i bought my "verted" z0 in july, '07. it had 29K mi. and the used car lot was asking $34,995. when they saw how clean my '02 camaro ss was (43k mi.), they were wanting to deal. so i got 'er for $30k. btw, at the time she had the factory silver z0 wheels, but i needed the ccw look.

good luck with the sale, although i'd keep her.

I had a 02 black with the mod, 35K, all stock. brand new tires. sold for 27,500. In @ 3 weeks. Good luck

I would ask 29.9K and go down from there... you should be able to get within 500-1000 of your asking price. Its a nice clean car but lower mile examples(under 20K miles) are bringing $31-32K tops and if you got a really choice car with under 10K and possibly some GMPP warranty maybe you could get $33-34K but it would definately take the right buyer.

Car looks nice, but you did not tell us what Car Max offered. I know they only offer auction pricing, so no wonder you want to sell it yourself. I think 27 29 K sounds reasonable. I've got an 03 with 26.5K miles on it that I would take $30K for.

Good luck, not the right market right now for our cars. I had a 03' Electron Blue Z06 w/ 28k miles w/ a GMPP warranty until 65k miles. Perfect shape and I was only asking $29,000 and got tons of retarded low ball offers like $26,000. Finally, I just traded it in and the dealer gave me $28,000 plus I got $1,500 back for warranty. Just be prepared everyone wants something for nothing.

Honestly, I think around $26-27k if you wanna sell it here. I say that b/c I had to go down to 26,500 to sell my near mint 2001Z with cam/headers and 15k miles.

Your 02 is pretty clean, but I see some rocker panel rock hits etc... Unless it's just dirt, it's pretty common to get those areas hit and people will deduct $ for it. The tires are an issue as well, milage is up there for some people's taste.

I think the car is nice though .

I think some people around here are a little out of touch with what Z06's are actually selling for lately. Go look around and there are TONS of 02-03 Z06's with under 20k miles in perfect condition for right at $30k, and cars with similar mileage to this one at dealers for $27-28k. Here's one at a dealer with 30k for $26.5k. $30k for a Z06 with 40k miles on it isn't going to happen unless you're willing to wait around for a year...
