I guess I let my Corvette brothers down...

I dated a girl with a Miata back in 94 or so. It was a very fun little car to drive. Handled well and seemed fast as it is so low to the ground. I bet with the power you have in that one, it is really a blast.
You didn't let anyone down. Enjoy yourself bro!

Hi Mark,
Hey,a car guy is a car guy,who cares what badge is on it
Good luck with it and have fun,but that sounds like a lot to handle so be safe with it.You just may have enough torque there to turn it inside out!

I thought that engine looked a bit weird. I was wondering how you were getting 400+ HP out of a supercharged Miata engine.
Either way, NICE CAR! Don't listen to the C5 fanatics, I'd much rather drive around in that car.

Last year I sold my supercharged C5 vert. I hated seeing it go but after spending almost 300K on another bodyshop, I needed cash.
I had supercharged the H2 and the gas mileage sucked even worse. I didn't have a problem with that but between driving back and forth between the new and old shop, I was spending 220-240 week in gas. (terrible when you consider that the shops are less than 10 miles apart)
So I traded an alignment rack for a girly car. It was a '95 Miata that soon became painted, lowered, wheels, interior, blah, blah, blah.
I learned soon enough that what it lacked in power, it made up in fun factor... the car is a blast to drive.
Well, about a month ago, I was offered my C5 back at 9K less than I sold it for and it only had 1500 more miles on it.
I hate to say this but I declined. The vette was beautiful and fast but I held off.
Well, this is where I let my brothers down. I bought this last Friday.
Gonna hit the dyno Monday with the new engine but the last engine dyno'd out at 430HP/460TQ at the rear wheels. I'm guessing this one will be a little more, we'll see.
Not bad for a 2200lb car.
So I guess for now, I won't be getting another vette any time soon. Some day, again, definitely but for now, I'll go play with the pocket rocket.

Mark its a fun car still. No weight and lots of power, its all about that
I want to say "I would race you" but since you have my parts in your shop being painted, I wont say that.
Have fun bro and be safe!
