Chrome Hood retainers? From Home Depot?
I remember seeing someone using something from Home Depot as chrome covers for the retainers in the hood liner
I've searched but no luck. Anyone know what I'm talking about and what they are.

In the plumbing department (ACE or TRUE VALUE), where they sell items for kitchen sinks...there are large OD chrome caps with tangs on the back. They intended to plug off holes in sinks where a faucet might have been removed. You place that over the oem black plastic hood seal retainers and bend the tangs over to secure them.
The ones I've seen are not quality chrome though...I think they're just a nickel plate.

Posting to point out the local Lowes in my area do not carry the Danco versions anymore in this size. They had smaller sizes by Danco but seem to be eliminating them in favor of a different version which the kid their said was their brand or version. They looked about the same to me and worked fine.

Yello95, that's a great idea for the trunk liner. I'm tired of ours falling off with the crappy Velcro.
The sales person at Lowes looked at me real funny when I asked if they had more. I'd already drained their peg board hook, he asked how many I needed, I said thirty he just about fell over. I have two C5's, needless to say, I had to head over to another store to get enough. Now it's just a matter of time before they're installed.

The Prongs on the Chrome Faucet Hole covers are bent flat around your plastic retainer. I believe you have to trim your existing plastic hood liner retainers to fit inside the Chrome Faucet Hole covers then bend prongs to hold plastic retainer inside the Chrome Hole cover and presto.....
