50's and 60's
I was in high school in the mid 50's and I loved cars and just started getting into girls, so to speak.
If you were around in that era I think you will love this; turn up the sound.

Absolutely wonderful.
Brings many memories back - mostly the good ones.
In my day ('58 HS senior) we drove the 30's and 40's vehicles - some drove the 50's, but they had the $$$.
In CA (where I attended HS and college) we spent Friday nights either on Sunset Blvd, or Van Nuys Blvd. Always crusin for the girls!
Saturday nights were for dates - drive in movies (San Fernando Valley had a lot of these). Later - onto Bob's Big Boy, either in Van Nuys or Burbank.
Sundays - San Fernando Drag Strip. Sunday evenings - fixing what broke at the drags.
Too bad that kids today cannot appreciate the simpler things that brought us so much delight.

That's the first time I've seen it and that brought back a lot of good memories. Especially those '58 Impalas. I had a black one with a 348 and three dueces. Boy, did I think I was hot stuff!

Thanks for the ride. I graduated in 60 from a Catholic high school in Montebello Ca. In 58, my junior year, one of the seniors got a brand new 58 Vette in the begining of the year for his graduation present. It wasn't the fastest car in school, but it was so cool. I had a 56 Chevy with three on the tree. My first car out of high school was a 61 409, and then on to a 65 Vette a few years later. I can't tell you how many memories that video brought back. So many races, so long ago. Way
By the way the local hang out's were Bob's Big Boy in Whittier, Henry's in Downey and Lyon's Drag Strip. in Long Beach Ca. ' You Run What You Brung.
