Does Anyone NOT Wave on Purpose
I'm just wondering if there are any of you out there who DO NOTwave to other vettes on purpose.
I'm just wondering because I've got this guy who lives in my neighbourhood who has a new Z06 and I've waved at him twice and he doesn't wave back? I wave as we're driving in the neighbourhood and I know he sees me? Part of me thinks he's new to the Corvette thing and doesn't know about the wave, but you gotta catch on when all these people in Corvettes wave to you?
Anway back to the question any non wavers and why?

Whenever I see a cell-phone buried in some bimbette's ear, I usually don't bother.

For what ever reason ( Ego, Personality, Vain) I've noticed this also mostly with the C6 crowd. What I believe is happening is they have the attitude of being newer, more expensive, and of course faster then your C5. So in their eyes, your just a pee on. I'm so tire of the non waving group that unless I see a hand go up first, I don't move mine.
Any way here is one for you

waving
I was out on a drive today and noticed the same thing. I exchanged waves with several C-5's and a C-4, both were hardy waves. The two C-6's gave nothing up at all. Of course if I ever see one stopped on the side of the road with the hood up, I'll honk and wave as I accelerate on by! Here's to ya, ya C-6 yahooos!

waving
The only time I dont see people waving is when I am on my Hayabusa, and the other guys is on a Harley. They dont wave because they are scared they will lose control of the oil leaking POS.
I unfortunately am also a member of the dually club, and every dually driver I have seen, in every Province or now State gives the big wave.
But I wave anyway, to the dually pilots, and the hogs on hogs.

With all the people that dont wave, I dont even throw the first wave anymore. I dont like waving and then seeing them look at me and then look away. If people want to wave they can wave first, then I will gladly wave back.

If I dont wave on my Harley its usually do to a Safety concern. I'm not real keen on driving one handed "just to wave" on a motorcycle. Not to mention take my eyes off the road (even for a few seconds) to see if I am getting a response. Make/Model of motorcycle is irrelevant.
But I guess this comes with experience. IMO I would assume a child drives a Hayabusa (Fastest Production Bike on the planet - Avg Speed Limit 45mph) and a Man drives a Harley (Patriotic Like Vette - Classic sound) but thats just me. Maybe Living in Daytona FL qualifies me to say this (BikeWeek / Octoberfest)... Maybe it doesnt. I only report what I see.
Now for my C5. I wave to everything on wheels!
