Default Something weird happened???

Hi everyone,

I just picked up my C5 2004 Coupe Saturday. After keeping it in the garage since then, I took it out to get the engine running and battery charging. On the trip I stopped at the store. I was in for a bout 10 or 15 minutes. When I came back to the vette, I got back in and I would have sworn the seat had been moved up. The steering wheel seemed much closer. So I moved it back. I thought it could have been my imagination. I noticed the mirrors seemed a little misadjusted from my 20 minute drive. But I attributed that to having moved the seat back. Then I turned on the radio and all my programmed stations were gone. It's as if the radio had been reprogrammed.

Has anyone had this happen before, or heard of it happening.

Two things come to mind.

1. Too much crack?
2. Memory Package?

I would hope the 2nd one is the case with you

Decisions, decisions

I assure you given the choice it would have to be number 2. Would the memory package act on it's own? I know about the memory button, but I haven't touched it yet, or did I. I'll read up on it.

Make your adjustments, mirrors, seat, wheels, etc. See which set of keys you have, the # on your fob. press the button on the drivers (1 or 2, depending on the fob#)side door and hold it down for 15 secs or so. pretty easy

Only thing I can think of is the memory package. That or your car is playing tricks on you.

If you unlocked the car with the fob, the seats, radio, etc. went to the last memory that was set for that fob (when you inserted the key). Just reset everything and hold down the memory button on the door and next time you use your fob and insert the key, everything should change to your settings. If you don't use the fob to unlock the door, you'll need to push the memory button you used to set your preferences to get them back. I always push the unlock button as I'm approaching the car even when it's unlocked in my garage so that it automatically remembers my stuff. If the seat and wheel had moved before you put the key in, then somebody else has a fob that matches your car and pressed it while you were in the store. (Kidding, not likely)

Just by unlocking the car w/ the fob, it's the same as hitting the memory button.
