Default Sumitoma vs Kumho

Any comments on Sumitoma HTR-Z or the Kumho MX tires. Need to buy tires for the Vette and would like any comments, pro or con, regarding the above tires.

Thanks to all. This forum rocks!

Kumho is the best price for performance. You can also check out the new kid on the block: Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta .

Even though I did not like my KUHMO's I liked the Summitomo's even less!

I had real traction problems w/the Summitomo's and I mean traction in corners not straight line.

The KUHMO's seemed not to bite real well in straight forward launches but had superior traction to the Summitomo's in cornering.

Both sets of tires road smooth but the KUHMO's tended to grab cracks in the road pretty good Summitomo's about the same as for grabbing cracks and pulling the steering wheel!

But if I had to choose between the two I would opt for the KUHMO's I believe it is a superior tire to the Summitomo's! But price wise the Summitomo is a little less expensive!

Hope this helps! It kinda sounds like a magazine review or a commercial as I've been told Hope you enjoy!

Let us knoe the choice!

Thanks,Matt

I'd go with the Kumho's. Seem to be a little better all around tire.

I have ran KUMHO before and thought that it was a GREAT tire for the price. I can't say much for the other option you listed, but I can't see it being better than KUMHO as an overall tire.

No experience with those on my C5, but I had the Sumitomos on my C4 and was very happy with them.
