Stupid Pollen
Anyone else getting raped by the pollen? I had a date last night so I washed the vette, cleaned the wheels and everything. It looked great so I dried it off and drove about a mile home. Got there and it looked ALMOST as bad as before I washed it. So i drove to pick the chica up but stopped about a block away to dust the pollen off again so it looked decent when she got it. I noticed walking into the restaurant even your footsteps in the parking lot sent a little cloud of pollen up so theres no help till pollen season is over!
Anyone know when the pollen should let up?

Buy a CALIFORNIA DUSTER, it will save your sanity. Having a BLACK car makes it a huge challenge for me and I am just so damn glad I have the duster.

Not soon enough...I rinse it down, but unless I have a show, I avoid at all cost wasting my time washing the Vette in pollen season...but I will say that canned air (for computers) works a wonder in quickly cleaning the yellow monster off the dash.

I hear ya - I'm in Raleigh, too. The yellow stuff is falling faster than you can wipe it off, literally. Not much you can do about it. Washing the car is a waste of time for about 3 weeks this time of year here. I wait until it's over then spend a day detailing, inside & out.

Washed mine 3 times last week. It's a never ending battle. Be careful about using the California Duster on pollen. Could scratch the paint.

Oak pollen is terrible in Texas. It leaves a green film on everything.

Raleigh Too - Pollen Central!
Im in Raleigh too with a black C5. I gave up! Washed/rinsed it 3 times this weekend. I garaged it and put the car cover on it and will let it rest for a few days until the yellow pollution ends!

Well it rained here yesterday, not hard, but enough to keep it from flying around as bad. I wiped my car off today, and it didn't get bad at all. I was AMAZED. The worst part is the rear fascia. It gets NASTY. And the tail light holder thingys (lol ) are freaking pollen MAGNETS!!!

The pollen is just as bad here in Wake Forest!
I took the leaf blower out and blew all the green powder out of the garage this weekend!
Is it the pollen from the pine trees or the oak?
