the sleeper Lingenfelter c5
Since I purchased my car 2 summers ago, I was very impressed with the power and the car had for a stock 1999 Coupe with 20,000 miles on it. Well today I found out why.
I was doing some spring cleaning this afternoon getting ready for a upcoming stereo install and found some interesting paperwork. It was a bill of sale from Lingenfelter dated 11/02/1999 I found under the passenger seat. It was for a performance package upgrade done to a corvette. I was reading over all the mods done for this persons install when I noticed the vin number listed on the invoice.
The number sure looked familar and I compared it to my vin and HOLY @@@@ it matched. This had me very confused as to what was going on. I kept reading on the bill of sale and it stated on the invoice that the original owner wanted the Lingenfelter performance package in my car, but everything to be put back to stock appearance.
I had to pop the hood open and start taking a closer look at the motor. I could tell that my motor had been taken apart and reassembled. You could only imagine how excited this got me knowing what I now have!! Now imagine this was all done back on 11/02/1999 and was not known about to me till April 1st of 2007......the perfect day for me to post this made up story for an april fools joke! Oh to wish this one was true!!
